Ferrier Design Perforated Metal

Ferrier Wire + Design carries a wide range of architectural and design perforated metal patterns.  These products can be used for millwork, radiator covers, built in cabinets, infill panels, ceiling tiles and as privacy screens, to name a few applications.  The most common material is mild steel (unfinished) metal while some patterns are available on stainless steel and or aluminum metal.  We offer a growing number of plating and powder coating options.  The patterns of our decorative perforated metal range from the very traditional Windsor, Grecian, Small Octagon Cane and Full Clover patterns to more contemporary patterns such as Ventilatore, Chainlink and Aedelsten.  Along with the standard stock patterns listed below the addition of our CNC Turret Punch allows us to offer a wider and more custom range of patterns.  For more information please click here.  Please call or email us for more information about our design perforated metal.  Samples are available on request.

Our design perforated metal patterns offer a wide range of percent open areas allowing for different levels of transparency.  The ½” Hexagon pattern has a percent open area greater than 70% making it an option for ceiling tile panels that must meet the fire code requirements if sprinklers are above the tiles.  Our CNC Turret Punch allows us to offer patterns that have very low transparency or visibility, ideal for privacy screens and sun shades.  Other advantages of the design perforated metal patterns is that they are generally less expensive than design weavemesh and are typically much easier to custom fabricate with.  The stock design perforated patterns have a minimum margin (solid edge) along the long edge of the sheet and the CNC Turret Punch allows us to custom make panels with margins of various widths around the perimeter of each piece.  Our recent investment in a magnetic brake will allow us to offer channel edging for all of our perforated options in the near future.  Please call or email us if you have any questions about these or any of our products.
